Head out to the most enjoyable summer day camp and outdoor childcare camping activities in Jacksonville, Florida, at Burrell's Camp Chippewa. Camp Chippewa was designed to provide a fun, safe, and educational summer camp for young campers across Northern Florida.

Fun and Informative
We help children to grow both physically and mentally through the experience of living in outdoor surroundings. Our activities include a variety of sports, horseback riding, swimming taught by American Red Cross-certified lifeguards, and an adventurous outdoor camping experience that challenges and stimulates each camper. Registration fee is 40.00 and the weekly fee is 140.00 and includes lunch

We are open Monday through Friday from 6:30 A.M. to 6:30 P.M.

Scheduled activities are from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.

Girl at Camp

As you register with Burrell's Camp Chippewa, your child will be placed in a group on the basis of age, gender, and perceived maturity. The groups are as follows:

Groups:

  • Seminoles: Age 6 for boys
  • Arapahos:  Age 7 for boys
  • Chickasaws: Ages 6-7 for the girls
  • Cheyennes: Ages 8-9 for the boys
  • Cherokees: Ages 8-9 for the girls
  • Comanches: Ages 10-12 for the boys
  • Apaches: Ages 10-12 for the girls

Each group will have their own counselors who will accompany their own tribe in all activities, field trips, and special activities. Our camper/counselor ratio is always lower than the state requirement.

Each tribe operates independently as they proceed through their daily schedule.Our program is designed for diversified activities, outdoor living,fun and adventure,social adjustment,sports skills,and appreciation of the outdoors.

Register Online

We suggest a T-shirt,shorts,and tennis shoes be worn.Camp shirts should be worn on field trip days and all clothing should be labeled.

Meals are available from local restaurants at no extra charge. We also have a snack bar where most items are available from .25 to 1.00.

Any child requiring medication must have a medical form on file in the office.
