Head out to the most enjoyable summer day camp and outdoor childcare camping activities in Jacksonville, Florida, at Burrell's Camp Chippewa.

Camp Chippewa is designed to provide a Fun, Safe, and Educational Summer Camp for young campers across Northern Florida.

Open since 1971, Burrell’s Camp Chippewa has been serving the community of Jacksonville for over 40 years. We aim to help children grow both physically and mentally through the exposure to a wide variety of outdoor activities and experiences.

Some of our Daily Activities include Sports from Field Hockey to Football, Swimming with American Red Cross Certified Lifeguards, Horseback Riding, Camp Crafts, Boating/Canoeing, Water Slide, and Fishing; Everything to keep your camper active and envolved all summer long.

 

Our Registration fee is $40.00, with a Weekly fee of $140.00 (which includes Lunch).
(Registration also includes a Burrell's Camp Chippewa T-Shirt for your Camper).

We are open Monday through Friday from 6:30 A.M. to 6:30 P.M.

Scheduled activities begin from 9:00 A.M. and end at 4:00 P.M.

Campers at Burrell's Camp Chippewa are placed in groups based on Age, Gender, and Perceived Maturity. The Tribes are as follows:


Tribes:

Each group has a minimum of two counselors who will accompany their own Tribe in all Activities, Field Trips, and Special Activities; with our Camper to Counselor ratio always being lower than State Requirement.

Each Tribe operates independently as they proceed through their daily schedule.

     Flip-Flops/Sandals (To walk to and from the Swimming Pool)

Camp Shirts should be worn on field trip days and all clothing should be clearly labeled.

Meals are provided by local restaurants at no extra charge.

Monday:
Dominos Pizza - Pepperoni or Cheese.

Tuesday:
Wendy's - Chicken Sandwich, Baked Chips, and a Frosty.

Wednesday:
Subway Subs - Ham or Turkey, Chips, and a Cookie.

Thursday:
Dominos Pizza - Pepperoni or Cheese.

Friday:

Wendy's - Chicken Nuggets, Apple Slices, and a Frosty. 

                                                                                                   
We also have a Snack Bar available for Campers to purchase a variety of Snacks and Drinks. Campers will have both a Morning and Afternoon Snack Time. Snack prices range from 25c to $1.00.

 

All Campers requiring medication must have a medical form on file in the office
